Waiting can be easy if you know what you are waiting for... if the thing that is coming is certain and you just have to count down the days until it comes.
But waiting is hard if you don't know when the thing you are waiting for will come. It is hard because there's an element of uncertainty and a possibility that it might not happen at all.
I remember there was a book titled, Lady in Waiting...
